How I Got Here

I completed my Diploma in Person Centred Counselling & Psychotherapy at Moray College UHI and I am a fully qualified counsellor.  I am a counsellor member of COSCA (Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland) and I work within their Statement of Ethics and Code of Practice.  I completed training and received a certificate in Counselling Children and Young People with the University of Strathclyde.   I have also completed a course on Online and Telephone Counselling with the Counselling Tutor.  I participate in regular professional counselling supervision and ongoing professional development.

I currently work in my own private practice and work in High Schools and Primary Schools across Moray.  I also work with Samaritans as a listening volunteer, mentor, trainer and leader.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and love to get out and about for a walk.  I feel that my own personal life experiences have contributed widely to the counsellor I have become today.

Client Testimonial

“Julie has allowed me to engage with myself, deal with matters I haven’t addressed in years and move forward. Throughout a difficult year for us all, my sessions have allowed me to keep working on myself and get to a point of resolution and confidence with myself.
The manner in which the sessions worked were really relaxed and progress was at my own pace. I cannot thank Julie enough – in 12 months I am a completely different happier person.”
